Ofelia (Fely) Libao Azarcon, 95, passed away the early morning of April 28, 2020 at Sharp Hospice Center, Bonita View, San Diego. Born on April 11, 1925, in Bulacan, Philippines, she was the daughter of Ismael Libao and Francisca Garcia Libao. Fely retired as Community Coordinator and Cafeteria Manager at Gregorio Perfecto High School. Early on in her career, she became a Home Economics and Filipino teacher. She finished her Master's degree in Education in 1974 and received a Presidential Award as the Teacher of the year in 1979. Fely had a lifelong passion for cooking, enjoyed watching movies and Filipino soap operas and eating out. However, her greatest joy was being around family.
Fely was survived by her daughter, Consuelo and her husband, Randolf, grand children Cristina and her husband, Rudy, Leslie and her husband, Alan, Jessica and her husband, Patrick, great grand children, Nathan and Gianna ( via Cristina and Rudy); son Avito and his spouse, Eric; her youngest daughter, Regina and her husband Oscar, grand children, Ira and her husband, Jonard, Mabby, Tim, Juliene, great grand daughter Alysanne (via Ira and Jonard); her two siblings (out of eight), Corazon and her husband Conrado, and Luding.
