I first met Paul at an AMR field care audit. Susan introduced me and they invited me to sit with them. I specifically remember that Paul telling me about the Sharp Experience! He was always willing to share how his experiences (on projects, etc...) could contribute to the field of nursing. Over the years we enjoyed working together in the trauma room and with multiple acute medicals. There are certain things that stood out about Paul, one is that he was acutely aware of the needs of family members and always kept them updated --that is who Paul was! Paul was a great resource: If he didn’t know the answer, he’d find it! Paul was also a positive influence in the ED and loved to work with new RNs. He was a wealth of information and never grew tired of sharing his stories. His smile lit up his entire face and brought joy and reassurance to everyone around him. My wife and I always looked for Susan and Paul at the annual Christmas party, hoping to get a seat at their table! We were saddened to hear of his diagnoses and even more saddened to hear of his passing. Paul, you will be missed but I take comfort in knowing, one day we will meet again!

When I think of Paul I picture him with a smile and a warm greeting. The last time I saw Susan and Paul we were all volunteering at Mama's Kitchen, such a fun surprise to run into them there. Paul was a great role model as a mentor and co-worker.. He was always a bright light in the ED and will be greatly missed.

Paul and Susan Murray were iconic symbols of what love should look like. Paul was such a rock, when my world was crushed and my heart was broken & I saw him he didn’t say much out loud but his eyes said soo much & he was a source of comfort during such a hard time.
I pray he is no longer suffering and in a better place & I hope Susan can find solace in her memories of Paul and a life well lived....

Susan, one of my fondest memories of Paul was when Joe and I met the two of you and your mom and Ray at their cabin on Bull Shoals Lake in Missouri. Ray was getting on in years but really wanted to take us on his boat to check his fishing trot lines. Paul was so patient and sweet with him. That’s just who Paul was. He always seemed glad to see us, and we always felt the same way about him. You had a wonderful, rare love. How lucky you both were!

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Paul. I met Paul over 20+ years ago when I was a unit clerk in the Emergency Dept and left the ER to return back in 2009 where I once again had the opportunity to work with Paul. He remembered me and welcomed me back with a smile that Paul always had.

My last day at Sharp he gave me a Pocket Angel coin and told me that I will always have someone looking over me.

Meeting Paul is one memory of many that I will not forget. Heaven gained a wonderful Angel.

Hugs and prayers to Susan and the Murray Family.

Rest in paradise Paul you will be missed .

Paul was such a positive influence in the ED. I would often ask him to walk new RNs through a trauma and he never refused. His smile lit up his entire face and it would bring peace and reassurance to all. He was a wonderful man and had the respect and love of all those around him. I miss you Paul and take comfort in knowing one day we will meet again.
