Paula Brewer Smoogen, a beloved and devoted spouse, mother and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, September 28, 2025, at the age of 76. Paula was a very supportive Navy wife and long-time resident of Scripps Ranch in San Diego, California.
Paula worked in law for over 40 years, earning top awards as an exceptional paralegal. Her commitment to her profession was evident throughout her long and distinguished career.
Paula was married to Jim Smoogen, with whom she shared love, successes and challenges for over 52 years. She was dedicated to her two sons, Sean and Todd, and adored her granddaughter, Parker. Paula loved watching football and enjoyed spending time, travel and laughter with her many cherished friends. Paula's loyalty and kindness to family and friends will be remembered by all.
