I remember when my husband Paul, 
(the eldest of Garcia siblings) was very ill. We lived in the Imperial  Valley & my husband had been in SD having just had surgery there. I ended up returning back to IV because our children. Next day the phone rings,  Pete on the other end,  'I'm coming to get you, my brother
Paul wants you here!'  He said 'don't worry about boys,  just pack fast cause I'm already on my way!' 
Pete made it a point to always have time for family,  emergency or not and especially for his girls!!!  I'm  a better person in knowing people just like Pete!
His nephews as well as myself are  sorry  that we  couldn't travel to be there with family.  I know I don't have any pictures of Pete, but I  cherish his memories in my heart. Tell My Mijo Paul to save a place for me! I love you Cunado. 

We consider ourselves fortunate to have met Pete and been given the many gifts that Pete has provided to ALL of our family.  I remember getting a call from my father in his later years when he was still working at the office saying that he couldn't start his car - it was later in the evening and the office had been closed for a while , I asked my Dad ( Frank McKenna ) if he was alone and he said no... he put Pete on the phone and he said he wasn't going anywhere until Frank was safe and sound.  Pete didn't go anywhere and never did he stood by our Dad through thick and thin even when he was having trouble making payroll. When everyone else jumped ship Pete stayed.  He was the steady force behind the insurance agency. Pete knew every customer by name and took the time to listen to them and help them. If Pete thought that one of his clients was being treated unfairly he would get on the phone with the companies and make them do the right thing.  There wasn't a thing that Pete didn't know about Insurance and he was humble about it and made sure that everyone understood exactly what they needed. Every time I walked into the agency there was a warm greeting, a fantastic energetic smile and a little story for me to get me going. Pete worked never taking a vacation - not a day went by he wouldn't tell me about his family and their victories- He would occasionally ask for a day (very rarely) but it wouldn't be for himself it would be for his family. He is an example to my family and I  of a good person and ourselves  and our business will never be the same without him 

 

My fondest memory is my entire childhood. The way you managed to work all day and still have so much love to disperse when you arrived home. Building castles in the living room.  Kareoke all day. Long drives to el centro. Pancakes and eggs every Saturday morning with I love you notes. Chips with tapatío for dinner. Tagging eachother in memes. Exchanging pictures of our lives each week....My life has always and somehow will always revolve around you. You were an exemplary parent and my best friend. The person I knew understood me most in this world. The one that listened without judgement and provided the utmost guidance. You've prepared me well . You mean more to me than anything in this world 
I see you in everything I am
I miss you with all that I have 
But I'm so happy that we can gather our loved ones and family one last time for a celebration in your name. I know you must be gathering the heavens as we speak. Your "big debute" is about to hit. Sit tight and enjoy the show... I hope we make you proud 🖤

My lovely cousin  Pete Garcia, the only person whom i trusted and shared my life’s experiences with. You gave me the best advise. I miss you so much. Especially your calls , daily  texts. 😢 You’ve always told me to continue being an example for my family. I will continue to do my best. I will always hold you in heart until I see you again . From the beginning to the very end you have supported me and my boys !!!! You will always be amazing and I’m soooo blessed that I got to have many memories with you and Jacqueline . Thank you for seeing me as your own and for all those conversations we had about life .. I can almost hear your laugh sipping on our coffee at my moms kitchen table. Thank you for that I will always be greatful. Your mindset and positive soul really helped me in so many ways. I love you for who you were and who you became .

I told you we were going to fight to the end. We did! You fought hard, so brave, so strong, and such a wonderful role model. You have touched so many lives and hearts in your journey of life. I miss you dad. Last year, remember that shirt I got you for Father’s Day, and your by the rock, Dad. We love you very much father. I will always remember your personality, laugh, smile, and I know you will never leave me. You are forever in my soul, heart, and life. When I look up in the sky, I will remember your strong advice, your work ethic, your loyalty, and forever love for us. You are what keeps me going to love life to the fullest and let love in my heart. ❤️ We fought dad, and we did everything we could do. Your not in pain anymore, dad. Salut, for everlasting life !!!!
