Phil was born in Lipa City, Philippines and was raised in Tagaytay City. He joined the Coast Guard in 1959 and was stationed in Hawaii, Virginia and California, where he retired as a Chief Electrician's Mate after over 20 years of service. He then attended Southwestern College and embarked on a career with Pacific Bell (now AT&T). Once retired, Phil spent his time traveling with his family, going to the casino with friends, and enjoying family time with his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He enjoyed reading, building things, lounging outside in the sun, and cracking jokes with all those around.
Phil is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Erlinda, daughters Ellen, Glenda and Jane, sons-in-law Gilbert and Jeff, and grandchildren Genevie, Gabriella, Geena, Noah and Hannah and his siblings Rudy, Guadalupe, Violeta, Flordeliza and Eddie and many loving nieces and nephews. Phil was a very loyal and loving husband, father and grandfather, who will always be remembered for his wittiness, sense of humor and quick come-backs.
A special thank you to Hearten Hospice for their compassion and support during these past few weeks.
