Captain Phillip Arthur Taylor Ph.D, devoted and beloved father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 15th in the presence of family after a lengthy illness. Dr. Taylor was a widely read author, professor and university dean. He taught and mentored many thousands of students and many future academics as a full professor and department chair.
Prior to beginning his career, he served his country honorably in Vietnam earning the bronze star and several other commendations. He authored a non-fiction best-seller that was required reading for international relations students throughout the United States and beyond. Phillip was also a fine singer and choral director. He was preceded in death by his mother Alice (O'Hara) Kane.
He is survived by his sisters Teal, Carla, Carol, Candy and his brother Clifford. He is also survived by his sons David and Daniel, his daughter-in-law Jerilyn, and 3 grandchildren, Allison, Kaitlyn and Jake.
