Pier Vidoni along with Helen Howe actually were able to bring me out of depression and talked with the Ross McDaniel and got me hired at Fistell’s Electronics in downtown Denver. I also helped Pier with maintenance around the apartment building he and his brothers owned on Colorado Boulevard. He will be missed, and my sincere condolences.

I didn't see Pier's obituary until yesterday when I was trying to get caught up on my newspaper reading.  Our daughters became best friends in middle school: which went thru high school, and beyond, and thru now.  After they graduated I always enjoyed running across Pier somewhere nearby and visiting with him again.  I too had seen the recent sale of the family home and presumed he had finally moved to California.  (My daughter knew he had died but had forgotten to mention it to me.)  My deepest sympathies go to Nancy, Lindsay, and Adam!  Pier was a really neat guy.

Pier was my neighbor, my co-precinct committee person in 918 and a very enthusiastic and active member of the House District 9 and Denver County Democrats for many years. He displayed candidate signs in his front yard, asked well thought out questions of candidates, elected officials and community organizers, and was fun to be around. We ran many caucuses and meetings together.  In 2008, due to an incredible turnout, Pier walked from his home to Hamilton Middle School for it.  That speaks to his dedication. I knew Pier had delayed his move to California, as he wanted to stay in Colorado, which he considered "home", as long as possible.  I felt sad to see the sale of his house this year, as I knew without asking, what was happening. Pier's gentle soul will be missed by me and many. My deepest sympathy to Nancy, Adam, Lindsay and family. 

I  saw  the  obituary  in  the  Denver  Post  yesterday,  Christmas  Day.
I  am  very  sad.  Pier  was  a  good  friend  and  fellow  handball  player.
I  will  miss  his  humor,  wisdom,  and  athletic  skill.  I  will  pray  for  him  and  always  remember  him  well.
