Randolph Steven Moy of San Diego California, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Green Hospital La Jolla CA, where he lost his battle to a very aggressive cancer. He died peacefully surrounded by his wife and their two children. Randy was born November 4, 1952 in Detroit, MI to Howard and Georgina Moy. He received his Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University (WMU) and his MBA from United States International University (USIU). He played and coached Division1 Hockey. His involvement with San Diego Hockey goes back over 40 years to when he was an assistant coach of the NCAA USIU D1 hockey team. Randy's impact on hockey in San Diego is extraordinary and his legacy and teachings will live on through the players he developed and mentored of which many advanced to the college and professional levels. On September 19, 1987, he married Susanna Katharina Kneubuehler from Switzerland at Balboa Park San Diego. They raised a son, Tyler, and a daughter, Keely and both children went on to play D1 Hockey for Harvard University in MA. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Howard, his mother, Georgina, his sister, Laura and his niece Krista. He is survived by his wife Susanna, his two children, Tyler and Keely, his brothers Rick, Rodger and Howard and his sisters Susan and Jennifer.
A visitation for Randolph will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 15, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. A committal service will occur Wednesday, July 15, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. A burial will occur at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, California 92121.

The family is providing a Reception for everyone on the Event Lawn at El Camino Memorial after the services and invites everyone to share memories and stories of Randy to celebrate his life.
The family understands that not everyone can attend the Chapel Services (also streamed on-line) due to the 50 people restriction, however there is no number restriction for the Committal Service at the Grave Site and at the Reception on the Event Lawn.
