Raymond Alton White, 81, passed away on January 14, 2026. Born June 15, 1944, in Ohio, Ray’s life journey took him west—first to Colorado, and later to San Diego, where he made his home and built a life centered on family, craftsmanship, and the things he loved most.
Ray proudly served our country in the United States Navy for three years as an intelligence specialist, with a focus on electronic warfare, signals intelligence, and cyber security—work that reflected his sharp mind, steady discipline, and commitment to service.
Ray was a longtime cabinet maker who took pride in creating with his hands. His work reflected the care, precision, and steady dedication he brought to everything he did. Away from the shop, you could often find him on the golf course, enjoying the game he loved, or dreaming about the islands—Hawaii held a special place in his heart.
Above all, Ray loved his family. He will be remembered for his loyalty, his warmth, and the steady presence he brought to those closest to him.
Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Winifred White. He is survived by his beloved wife, Christine White, with whom he recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary; his sons, Tom White (Denise) and Tim White (Kristin); and his three cherished grandchildren: Marissa White, Sawyer White, and Spencer White.
A celebration of Ray’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes condolences and memories shared in honor of Ray’s life and legacy.
