RICHARD F. "DICKY", November 4, 1931 to April 21, 2012
Richard was born in Gloucester, MA and moved to Point Loma in 1936. He began fishing at 16 and later became Chief Engineer.
He worked in the tuna industry for more than 20 years. In 1976, he moved to New Jersey and worked as a Building Maintenance
Engineer. He was jokester. He loved to wrestle with the kids and grandkids. He could fix or build just about anything. Richard was
well loved by all how knew him. He was preceded in death by wife Helen. He is survived by sister Elaine; seven children Chris (Carl), Cathi, Don, Connie (Bob), Kay-Kay (Chuck), Bill Toncic, and Kenny Toncic (Donna); nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A special thank you goes out to Shea Family Care Center for their loving care of Richard during his illness. Memorial Mass will be Thursday, May 3rd, at 12:00 noon, at Saint Agnes Church, 1140 Evergreen St., San Diego CA, 92106. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scripps Cancer Center.
