Richard W. Yocom, Jr., age 86, passed away in San Diego on Thursday January 2, 2025. He was a beloved husband of over 50 years, a loving dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend to many. Richard spent twenty years of his life, from age sixteen to thirty-six, in the United States Navy. After retiring he went back to school and earned his Bachelor of Science degree at UCSD. His working life included many years in the field of engineering as well as construction. He eventually segued in his final retirement years into a career in antiques and collectibles sales and restoration. He will be missed for his engaging intelligence, willingness to help others and his devotion and care to his family. May he rest in peace.
