Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia Feinstein, his daughter Jodi Wallace, his son Jason Feinstein, his two grandsons Driver and Peyton Wallace, and his two sons-in-law Brian Wallace and Edward Bauer. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his brother Sheldon and his family. He also leaves behind a multitude of friends.
Bob was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1945 to Isidore and Ann Feinstein. A natural entertainer, Bob loved to share stories of his boyhood adventures growing up in Mayfield Heights. Bob met and married his wife in Ohio. He recounted that in December 1970 he visited CA for the first time, got off the plane, saw the palm trees, felt the 70-degree weather, and decided he was going to raise his family here. Bob went on to work as a real estate appraiser and was one of the first independent appraisers in San Diego.
Bob lived a full life with countless adventures and hobbies. He was an avid sailor and loved teaching people how to sail when they would visit his boat. He took gliding lessons, was a scuba diver, sailed the south pacific, and had over 60 cars in his life. He loved to laugh and made friends wherever he went by sharing that laughter.
Bob was an artist and an entrepreneur. He was creative and funny. He started many businesses and wrote two books. He loved to BBQ and try new recipes. He was always excited to try a new "hole in the wall" spot to eat and food was something he enjoyed connecting over.
Bob always optimistically looked towards the future. His family is grateful to have been part of his journey and knows that when we see him again, he will have great stories to tell.
A memorial service with reception to follow for Robert will be held Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 12:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Chapel, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. A cremation will occur. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made:
