My inspiration, my aspiration, my role-model, the person I respected most in this father, passed away at age 91.

An incredible man, a member of the greatest generation, a judge, law professor, law partner, he rose to the top of his profession. His accomplishments were all the more remarkable since most were accomplished after having been rendered completely blind by uveitis...a disease not well recognized in the early 80s. I'll remember him for his quick wit, his love of and depth of knowledge of the classics, his love of classical music and most especially his humor and ability to serve up a limerick for any occasion. Mostly I remember him for his intellect, his love, and kindness as a father and my friend through life.

Mom, Rick, Bob Jr. Tom, Lisa, Scott, Rea, myself and all your grandchildren love you so much and only time can help mend the void left in our hearts. Love and miss you Dad!

Dee and Family:

So sorry I didn't connect sooner. I never forget the hours and hours spent with Bob on the trail in 1982. He remains to this day my most important influence. He is a true hero in every way and his soul lives and resonates bigger and brighter than ever.

Peace and Blessings -

Bob and I were partners for a couple years at Sullivan, Jones & Archer. He was among the most gracious, intelligent persons I've ever met. I learned a lot from him, not the least of which is the wisdom of picking one's legal battles rather than fighting at every provocation. He had great integrity. I liked and respected him. He was very kind.
I am sorry I did not learn of his death in time to attend his memorial service.
