“First, I want to say that I’m not really sure there are words that can fully express what my uncle meant to me.

He wasn’t just my uncle. He was my godfather, and when I think back to growing up, I remember him being there for me. I remember his personality, his sense of humor, and most of all, how he could always make me laugh.

Those are the things that stay with you.

As I got older, life changed. I moved away from San Diego and eventually ended up in Florida, and as the years went by, I didn’t get to spend as much time with him as I would have liked.

That’s something I’ve thought about a lot since he passed.

I wish I had spent more time with him. I wish I could have had one more conversation with him. And more than anything, I wish I had gotten the chance to say goodbye.

But I also know that the last moment you have with someone isn’t what defines your relationship with them.

When I think about my uncle, I don’t want to remember the distance or the years that went by. I want to remember being a kid and having him in my life. I want to remember the laughter. I want to remember the memories and the person he was to me.

He was someone who helped make my childhood what it was, and I’m grateful for that.

Tio Bobby, I’m sorry I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye. But I want you to know that I’ll never forget you.

Thank you for being there for me when I was growing up. Thank you for the laughs, the memories, and the love you gave me.

You will always be a part of my life and a part of who I am.

I love you, Tio.

Rest peacefully. Until we meet again.”

QEPD 🙏🏻 🕊️

I will always be grateful for the kindness my father-in-law showed me. From the moment I became part of the family, he treated me with warmth, respect, and genuine kindness. He always made me feel welcomed and accepted, and I truly appreciated the way he treated me. You will be missed and never forgotten. My prayers go out to his wife, children and family. Rest in eternal peace Robert 🙏
