Rogelio "Roger" Espiritu Morales, affectionately known as Roger to most and Rollie to some, passed away peacefully at his home and surrounded by his loved ones on February 20th, 2024, leaving behind a cherished legacy of love, dedication, and strength.
Born on December 21, 1938, in Cavite City, Philippines, Roger was raised amidst the warmth of family and the rich culture of his homeland. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Luis and Salome Morales, as well as his brothers, Romeo, Isabello, and Saloman, whose memories he held dear throughout his life.
After graduating from Cavite High School in 1957, Roger pursued further education at Far Eastern University in Manila. In pursuit of a greater purpose, he joined the US Navy in 1960, where he served with distinction, rising to the esteemed position of Chief Steward.
On July 4th, 1963, Roger married the love of his life, Elisa Morales, marking the beginning of a loving partnership that would span over six decades. Together, they welcomed four beautiful children into the world: Maria, Victoria, Rhoel, and Rodger, who brought immeasurable joy and pride into their lives.
Roger's dedication to his family was unwavering. After 20 years of honorable service in the US Navy, he transitioned to a successful career in real estate, where he found great success as a broker. His hard work and determination not only provided for his family, but also afforded him and Elisa the opportunity to travel the world and create cherished memories together.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Roger had a passion for tending to his garden and challenging his mind with the game of chess. He found joy in nurturing his plants and spending quality time with loved ones, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved “too much”.
