Ronald L. Motl was born in Minnesota and attended schools in Bemidji, Minnesota. In April of 1953, he joined the U.S. Navy and served for 20 years, retiring as a Master Chief Hospital Corpsman. He met his wife while stationed in Bremerton, WA, and they were married in May 1959. After retiring from the Navy, he was employed at Rohr Industries for 20 years. Ron enjoyed woodworking and created and gave away many items. His passion was fishing, and he spent many summer months in southern Oregon. He courageously fought bone marrow cancer, along with coronary artery disease. In the end, dementia overtook him. He is survived by his wife Virginia (Ginny), daughter Pamela Blakemore (Pete), son, Daniel (Kim), and son, Rob (Jane) and six grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother, Jack. Private services will be held at Miramar National Cemetery.
