Roselyn is survived by her sister Carmel Martinez, daughters Giuseppina (Domenico) Carini, Francesca (David) Bullard & Giulia Lo Coco. Sons Giovanni (Lani) Lo Coco, Corrado (Yanira) Lo Coco, Pietro (Antoinette) Lo Coco & Francesco II (Marni) Lo Coco. Loving grandchildren Frankie Joe (Jenna), Nicholas, Gabriella, Isabella, Sophia, Angelina, Francesco III, Davey, Girolamo, Corrado II, Emilio, great grandson Pietro Antonino, and large extended family. Roselyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, loyal friend and example to many.
Roselyn was born in San Diego, California to Francesco (Corrado) and Frances Lo Coco. In 1955 Roselyn married her life’s love Francesco Lo Coco and together they raised seven children.
Roselyn’s constants were love of her family and love of her church. She instilled that commitment in her children. Starting as a young child, she participated in many church events, societies and groups. She had such love and passion for children and organized many church events, picnics, theme parties, all focused on enriching family life. At home she ran a tight ship, her children, boys and girls alike participated in daily domestic duties; cooking, laundry, cleaning and maintaining the household. She always rewarded her children’s efforts and made plenty of time for fun activities. Roselyn was very artistic and spent countless hours working with her children on all sorts of craft projects, especially holiday decorations.
Francesco being a fisherman was away from home for extended periods of time and Mom always made sure Dads’ time at home was extra special with family dinners, friends for card games and visits. We know Dad’s departures were difficult for Mom but she never missed a beat, always a positive attitude.
Roselyn and Francesco were great hosts and their home was the center of many great parties and family gatherings. Holidays were always a special time with big family gatherings and lots of great seafood, traditional Sicilian dishes and homemade cookies, pies and the like.
We are forever grateful to her wonderful caregivers for their loving and respectful care, to Vitas Hospice and Elm Croft Point Loma for their support during her final days.
