Sandra “Sandy” Marie Frost was a native of San Diego and lived in the county her entire life. She was born September 12, 1953 at Mercy Hospital and passed away very peacefully on April 8, 2023 at age 69.
Sandy lived most of her life on Point Loma. She attended Cabrillo Elementary School, Dana Jr. High School, and graduated from Point Loma High School. Sandy then attended and graduated from Mesa College.
You could find her working in retail for most of her adult life. She worked mostly at Delta Drug on Point Loma and at various Vons locations.
Photography was one of Sandy’s passions. She took literally thousands of photos. The majority of her photos were of her other passions which were plants, animals and concerts.
Animals were a very important part of her life. She had quite a collection of pets over the years. Sandy had dogs, lots of cats over the years, frogs, snakes and geckos. Feeding hummingbirds also brought her great delight.
For decades, Sandy was a member of both the San Diego Zoological Society and the San Diego Cactus and Succulent Society. Entering her plants in shows was something that she greatly enjoyed and she won numerous ribbons over the years.
Sandy was predeceased by her parents Dayton and Ann Frost, and her sister Catherine Frost.
Services on May 9, 2023 at El Camino Memorial Park at 11 A.M.
