Sandra Jean Mansfield Romero; July 2, 1947 - February 16, 2018 San Diego - Sandra Jean Mansfield Romero, a second generation San Diegan, passed away on the morning of February 16th surrounded by her loving family. Sandra was born July 2, 1947 to James and Elizabeth Mansfield. Sandra known as Sandy lived in San Diego for the majority of her life. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1965; she then went on to cosmetology school, which enabled her to have a long career as a hair stylist. Sandy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a dear friend to so many. She loved spending time with her family as well as the many friends she made throughout the years. Sandy was well known for her sense of humor but also for having a sympathetic ear. Everyone was a friend to Sandy, her love knew no bounds. She was preceded in death by her father James Mansfield, her mother Elizabeth Birkell, her husband Phillip Romero-Valle and her sisters Madeline Mansfield Iniguez and Janice Mansfield. She is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Blaj (Chris), Anna Bloom (Gordon), brother James Mansfield (Leesa), her childhood sweetheart of many years- William Morales, grandchildren Jonathon Blaj (Ana Ramundo) and James Blaj (Melody), Brittnie Bloom and Ashlea Bloom, nephew Zack Mansfield and niece Rachel Gregg. Sandy will be greatly missed and will stay in our hearts forever. A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held on Saturday, February 24th at 11:00am at Maranatha Chapel, 10752 Coastwood Road, San Diego, with a reception immediately following in the Fellowship Hall.
