Scott 'Scotty' Glasberg

Scotty was born May 19, 1986, in San Diego, California and loved all the activities this beautiful city and climate offered: skateboarding, surfing, rock climbing, biking, and hiking. When did he have time for school?! Well, he did and in 2005 graduated from Torrey Pines High School and later earned his associates degree from MiraCosta College.

Scott’s love of the outdoors, music and art pushed him to travel throughout the United States and abroad. But it was his dream of becoming an outdoor guide that brought him to Joshua Tree in May 2021.

Scotty is deeply missed by his loving and proud parents Meredith and Kannan, Aunt Celia, cousins: Mark, Christine, Lauren, Nathan, Zachary, Jane, Charlotte, Henry, Will, Jimmy and Vivian, dear friend Tala and lifelong friends from school and the art and climbing communities.

As a kind man with a huge heart and generous spirit, Scotty frequently shared the last dollars in his pocket and always lent a friendly ear to those who needed help. In his memory, please help someone in need and think of our Scotty.
