To Southana Khonsavanh

We remember the day you and your family came to Grace Home as if it were yesterday.
You were overflowing with love and peace, with a gentleness that embraced everyone, and you stood before us as a believer who loved God with a pure and undivided heart. We thought, "What a wonderful person she is," and received deep inspiration and encouragement. It became an unforgettable time for our family.

Thank you so much for traveling all the way to Japan to visit our church.
You remain in our hearts forever, together with your gentle smile.
We give heartfelt thanks to God, who guided us to this encounter.
We look forward to seeing you again in heaven.

We pray for God's blessing on your whole family.

With gratitude…

Your mother came to visit us at Grace Home, a church in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture, together with her son and their family.

We were deeply struck by the faith, love, and peace that overflowed from within her.

Simply by being there, she was a person who, just like Jesus, wrapped everyone around her in that love.

We give heartfelt thanks to God for this encounter.

The words of Scripture she gave us—"For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21)—are coming back to life now.

Surely she is in heaven now, watching over us and praying for us. We give thanks.

⭐ From Biblical Church Grace Home
My name is Toshiyuki Okano, and I serve as pastor of Biblical Church Grace Home in Japan.
I first met Brother Katsumi Yamashita's mother at the Yamashita family's home when she came to Japan.
She also joined us for worship at our church. She was a woman with a sincere love for Christ and a living faith that trusted God in every circumstance.
It is sad that we can no longer see her here on earth, but I believe she herself is now in the Kingdom, meeting Jesus face to face, loved by Him—and how happy she must be.
I pray that God's comfort, grace, and peace will be with her family, relatives, and friends.

Dear Na, Khaek, and family,

My heart is with all of you during this deeply painful time. Na, we have been best friends since secondary school. We studied, ate, lived, and shared both difficult and happy times together before life took us to different countries. Khaek, I have always loved and regarded you as my own younger brother.

Although I am far from both of you, please know that you are not alone. Dad is here in Laos and lives not far from me. I will visit him often, spend time with him, and help look after him, so please do not worry too much. I will always be here for both of you and our family as a brother.

May Mom Southana rest peacefully in the loving arms of the Lord. Her love will remain in our hearts and guide our family forever.

With all my love and deepest sympathy,
Varn

Dear Mom Southana,

Although I did not have many opportunities to be close to you, your two sons, Na and Khaek, have been an important part of my life for many years. Na has been my closest friend since secondary school, and I have always loved Khaek as my own younger brother.

Thank you for raising two wonderful sons who became family to me. Please rest peacefully in the loving arms of the Lord. Your love will always live on through your sons and everyone whose life you touched.

With deepest respect and love from Laos,
Varn

Dear Khonsavanh family,

I am surprized to hear the sudden news about Lyne. I remember the time when the whole family came to visit us in Nagano 3 years ago just like yesterday.
The first time we met in Tsuchiura, you invited us to dinner at your home. I felt strong family ties then.
I look forward to seeing Lyne again in heaven. May God’s comfort be with all of you.

In Christ,
Yuki and Keiko Fukushima

My heart aches for you and your family my beloved friend Kheak, sending love and strength during this hard time. Rest in peace Mom.
