Sue was born on August 25, 1954, at San Diego Central Community Hospital to Mary and Robert Quartiano. A proud graduate of Mission Bay High School, Class of 1973, she dedicated her career to serving the local communities and working with animals at the Clairemont, Rose Canyon, and Turquoise Animal Hospitals.
In the summer of 1980, while water skiing with friends at Mission Bay, Sue met her future husband, Jim Feeley. That fall, the couple grew closer while climbing Mt. Whitney together. They were married in 1986 in Kona, Hawaii, and later settled in Pacific Beach, where they raised their son, Matthew, born in 1991.
Sue was a devoted wife and loving mother, known for her selflessness, strength, and deep love for her family. She embraced the outdoors—enjoying hiking, mountain biking, and outrigger canoeing—and cherished trips back to Kona with family and friends.
Sue is survived by her beloved son, Matthew; siblings Sandra, Barbara, and Bobby; niece Madison; and nephew Luke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim.
Sue will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
May Sue and Jim always be in our hearts.
