Teddy Maurice Finch

Teddy was born on August 9, 1959 in San Diego, California. A grandson of the founders of Filippi’s Pizza Grotto, Vincent and Madeleine DePhilippis, he dedicated his work life to growing the family business, most recently retiring in December of 2023.

He was a deeply beloved father to his two daughters, Victoria and Patricia as well as a wonderful Grandpa to his grandson Grayson. He was a caring and loving man who enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, playing guitar, cooking and listening to rock music. He always had a story to tell, a shoulder to cry on and a helping hand to offer.

Teddy was preceded to heaven by his mother Gina DePhilippis-Finch. He leaves behind his two daughters Victoria (Jason) and Patricia and his grandson Grayson. His brothers, Danny (Debra), Tommy (Terri) and his sister Debbie, nieces and nephews, Andrea, Danny Jr, Alissa, Michael (Elise), Matthew (Kari), Stephanie (Grant), Audrey, Jacob, Xander, Nora, Coralie and Averie and many cousins and extended family.

Although Teddy is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.

Service will be held Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1 pm at Holy Cross Cemetery with interment to follow (4470 Hilltop Dr San Diego 92102)

Celebration of Life will follow at Filippis Pizza Grotto (9969 Mira Mesa Blvd San Diego 92131)
