Temica Nicole Rowlett

Temica graduated from Scripps Ranch High School in San Diego, California, in 1994. Though she may have only dabbled in soccer (lol), she had a love for entertainment. From the age of three, Temica immersed herself in dance, enjoying tap, ballet, jazz, and hip-hop. During her young years she performed across San Diego, charming audiences with her talent and energy. She also took an interest in modeling and did background acting on TV shows.

After high school, Temica followed in her mother's footsteps, dedicating nearly 14 years to the mortgage banking industry, where she built a successful career and made a lasting impact on everyone she worked with.

However, Tamica's true pride and joy were her two beautiful daughters, Ariyan Redd and Sanyah Taylor. They were the light of her life. Temica was an unwavering presence in their lives, deeply involved in their activities. She coached both girls' cheer teams, cheered the loudest at Ariyan's basketball games, and stood proudly by Sanyah at her dance competitions. She was not only their mother but also their biggest fan and advocate.

Selflessness was at the core of who Temica was. She would go to the extraordinary lengths for her children, friends, and family. Even during difficult times when she wasn't feeling her best, Temica always showed up for others, offering support, care, and compassion. If you were lucky enough to be her friend, you knew you had a friend for life.

Temica is survived by her beloved mother, Carol Smith-Bowman, and her father, Jerry V. Rowlett Sr. She also leaves behind her daughters, Ariyan Redd and Sanyah Taylor; her stepmother, Gloria Garnett-Rowlett; her stepfather, John L. Bowman Jr,; her aunt, Janice Hollis; her children, Hakeem and Brittany; her uncle, Arron Rowlett Sr.; and his children, Tara and Arron Jr. She is also survived by a large, loving circle of friends and family, all of whom were touched by her kindness and generosity.

Temica's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever be cherished.

A funeral service for Temica will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Cypress View Mausoleum, Mortuary and Crematory, 3953 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92113.
