Theodore Mendoza Garcia Jr. was born on July 1,1954 and passed in peace on August 9, 2020 after a valiant battle with Pancreatic Cancer for 2 years. Ted was a US Air Force Disabled Veteran who served his country proudly. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving and devoted family man, with a larger than life personality that could light up a room of strangers. He was deeply loved and brought immense joy to those around him and will be deeply missed by all who knew him well. Ted will be forever remembered by his wife, Tess and their 2 children, Briana (Port of San Diego- Admin) and TJ (an Army OCS candidate) He is also survived by 7 siblings: Rudy, Gary, Serafin, Grace, Ferdinand, Alai, and Terry, and not to mention numerous nieces/nephews and their children. Viewing and Funeral services are scheduled at El Camino Memorial Park in Sorrento Valley. The viewing will be held August 26th, and the funeral service is August 27th at Chapel of the Bells. The family will conclude with a private military committal service and the rendering of Air Force honors.
