Vicki Lynn Moore

Mrs. Vicki Lynn (Wickersham) Moore – daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend entered her heavenly place peacefully – surrounded by family on October 20, 2024, at the age of 55. Vicki was born on August 31, 1969, in Chester, Pennsylvania. She was dedicated and christened at six months old at Parkside United Methodist Church.

As a young child she was active in the Girl Scouts and enjoyed competitive swimming. In her former years she lived in various states, including New Jersey and Missouri, before settling in sunny San Diego, California. It is no surprise that her multi-state experiences influenced her love for traveling and site sightseeing.

Vicki graduated from San Dieguito Academy High School in Encinitas in 1987, where she was known for her school spirit and academic determination. Post high school she pursued higher education at California State University - San Marcos, majoring in Business Administration Technology, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1998. Her professional journey led her to SeaWorld, where she worked in the food service and entertainment department as an Administrative Assistant. It was at SeaWorld where she met the love of her life, Brian Moore. Their early dates were filled with adventure, timeshare stays in New York, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, trips to Julian, cities across California, and quick excursions to Rosarito and Ensenada, Mexico. Vicki loved holiday festivities, the beach, yoga sessions, roller blading, long walks, and just being outdoors. Vicki's family will always remember her incredible baking skills, particularly her infamous chocolate cake, which brought unforgettable anticipation and joy to many gatherings.

Vicki was a loving wife to Brian Moore and a devoted mother to her children, son Isaiah Marcellus (born March 2003) and daughter JoVonne Maya (born 2005).

Together, Vicki and Brian proudly raised two remarkable children to be thriving young adults, all while supporting one another in their entrepreneurial spirits as co-owners of Legacy Brewery Tap and Kitchen and Speed to Enhance Performance Academy along with Coach Rodney Williams. If assisting with her husband and children’s love for sports and competition wasn’t enough, Vicki also achieved a leadership role and received multiple recognitions as an IT project manager at BAE Systems, where her dedication and hard work shone brightly over 26 years. Colleagues found her to be highly professional and a diligent team player.

Vicki lovely memories will be cherished by her husband, Brian Moore; son, Isaiah Moore; daughter, JoVonne Moore; and her beloved mother, Judy Wickersham. She is preceded in death by her brother, Chris Wickersham, and her father, John Wickersham. Vicki's incredibly kind spirit and love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
