

Lieutenant Victor J. Tokach, 50, from San Diego, CA died suddenly on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Victor was born September 2, 1961 in New York City, and graduated from Tulane University, New Orleans in 1983. Victor served on the USS Nimitz, with two aircraft carrier deployments in the Persian Gulf as a VA-147 jet bomber navigator before moving to San Diego. After 16 years of working for the firm, he was President of E.S. Hope Financial in Point Loma, San Diego. Victor recently served on the board of All Souls Episcopal Church in Point Loma. He was an involved member of the Peninsula and Greater San Diego Chambers of Commerce, the Point Loma Optimists, UPLIFT, (Urban People Living in Faith & Trust) and was active on the board for the West Wing Brass Ensemble. His favorite pastimes were being with friends, big band music, dancing, movies, cooking, travel, art, and appreciating the finer things in life.
Victor is survived by his father John, and brothers, Marc from Long Island, NY and Curtis from Minneapolis, MN as well as his nieces Cassandra and Katherine, and nephews Christopher, Christian, Michael and Stephen.
Victor was preceded in death by his mother, Elfriede Tokach and his grandparents John Sr. and Anna Tokach and his beloved Labrador dog, Lady.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at All Souls Episcopal Church, 1475 Catalina Blvd., San Diego, CA 92107. A reception will follow immediately after service. Following the reception, a Committal Service/Memorial Service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery with military honors.
