Hello, did Walter live in Pasadena by any chance?  I live at 1080 N. Hill Ave., Pasadena and I found a time capsule in my back yard when I was taking out a planter wall.  In this small bottle was a newspaper clipping  and a note written by a Walter C. Ladwig and referenced a 2 1/2 year old “Nipper” Ladwig.  

If this is your Walter, I thought you may enjoy that I found this 45 years later.  I’m sorry for your loss but obviously Walter was a very cool guy to do something like this.  Pretty amazing it was found!  Feel free to reach out, my number is 858 342 0676.
