I keep wanting to say the perfect thing but nothing in life is perfect. My Unk is gone and it broke me down hard. My strong big Unk that took me to school with him when I was a baby . Then popped up at my schools to keep the boys away when I was a teen. Another piece of my heart is gone. He was more than a uncle he was a father figure, a friend, my protector. He was funny when you needed to laugh and scary when you needed to be put in line. I will miss your big loving hugs and the love you never let me forget you had for me. Kiss my mom for me.Xoxo love your MeMe

Wow! This pain I wish on no one. I'm sure going to miss my big cousin. He had an outgoing personality and was fun to be around. He loved his family and would sacrifice so much of himself to make sure everyone was happy. He was trust worthy and dependable. You could talk to him about anything and he'd never repeat it. My holidays especially Thanksgiving and NYE will never be the same. Duke , I'm going to keep your memory alive for the rest of my life.

Duke was truly my big brother! We were always there for each other and we both looked up to each other! I was surprised when grandmother told me that Duke had joined the Navy. My first thought was he is going to kill somebody the first week of boot camp, because Duke never liked people to tell him what to do!!!! 🤔 then I was at ahh when he passed me in rank and made it to E-6. Of course both of us was competitive so I had to get back on my grind and I did just that by making it all the way to E7 before retiring. Duke you are missed and know that your little brother will always be here for the family. If you don’t see the love we had for each other then you are blind in one eye and can’t see out the other. God Bless Brother

You will never be forgotten, and you will always be my brother. I can't say that you are gone, because you will forever be in my heart, you are just unavailable until we meet again. As much as I run my damn mouth, I am at a lost for words, yet I have so much to say. I am on my way back that way, we was supposed to do the damn thing. It's been along time since we hung out and just kicked it, and it pangs my heart knowing now it will be even longer. We were down for each other in life, and that is not gonna stop now! I'm still riding for you homie til the wheels fall off. Rest In Heaven Duke, with much love, your lil brother Jason!
