Yanchun Lou

Yanchun Lou passed away peacefully on February 2nd, 2026 in San Diego, California at the age of 76. She is survived by her husband (Qinglin Lu), her daughter (Justine Lam), son-in-law (Fleming Lam) and two grandsons (Derek and Andrew).

Yanchun Lou was born in Jilin City, China on April 30th, 1949, to Qifu Lou and Shulan Wu. In 1972, she went to Jilin University and majored in biochemistry. Yanchun graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 and started her career as a research scientist in the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry. In 1989, Yanchun Lou came to the United States and joined the University of Louisville as a visiting scholar. In 1995, she joined Baxter (Chicago), Phage Biotech (San Diego, 1998), and remained active in the biotechnology field until her retirement in 2022.

Yanchun Lou married her childhood sweetheart, Qinglin Lu, in 1976. She is a devoted wife, caring mother, loving grandmother, and generous big sister. She was baptized on March 29, 2005. Yanchun is an active member of Chinese Bible Church of San Diego and served at Amazing Grace Institute.

A viewing is scheduled at the Lotus Chapel at El Camino Memorial Park on February 9th, 2026, from 3 pm to 7 pm. The address is 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. A memorial service will take place on February 21, 2026, at Chinese Bible Church of San Diego (12335 World Trade Dr, Ste 2, San Diego, CA 92128).

娄艳春姐妹于2026年2月2日在加利福尼亚州圣地亚哥市因肺癌安然回到主的怀抱，享年76岁。家属有陆青林弟兄，女儿，女婿和两个外孙。

娄艳春姐妹是吉林省吉林市九站村人。生于1949年，父亲娄起富先生，母亲吴淑兰女士。娄艳春姐妹于1972年进入吉林大学化学系生物化学专业学习。以优异成绩于1976年毕业，同时进入中国科学院上海生物化学研究所工作。娄艳春姐妹于1989年来到美国Louisville大学做访问学者。她于1995年入职Baxter (芝加哥)和后来的Phage Biotech (圣地亚哥1998）。娄艳春姐妹一直在生物技术领域工作直至于2022年退休。

娄艳春姐妹于1976年与陆青林弟兄结婚。作为长女和长媳，娄艳春姐妹身兼多重身份。她善对两家父母，乐于帮助每一个妹妹和弟弟，全力支持丈夫，亲历亲为培养教育女儿和外孙。娄艳春姐妹在众多的妹妹和弟弟及其后辈中倍受尊重。

娄艳春姐妹在2005年3月29日受洗，是一个虔诚的基督徒。生前服侍在圣地亚哥主恩堂和金龄联谊会。

娄艳春姐妹的遗体瞻仰在2月9日下午3-7点在 Lotus Chapel, El Camino Memorial Park (5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121). 追思礼拜将于2月21日下午3点在主恩堂举行。（Chinese Bible Church of San Diego, 12335 World Trade Dr, Ste 2, San Diego, CA 92128).
