

Yongsik was born in Seoul, South Korea, on December 26, 1968. He was passionate about technology and obtained his Master’s degree in computer science. He worked for LG, Motorola, and ACTScom on mobile software engineering. To this day, he is remembered fondly by his coworkers and respected for his contributions. He traveled all around the world for his work, including China, India, Japan, Italy, and many more.
In 2009, he immigrated with his wife and eldest daughter to San Diego, California, hoping for a better life. He welcomed his second daughter into the world in 2010, whom he doted on until his passing. In 2015, he decided to take a leap and change careers into managing his own business. He managed three UPS stores across several locations in San Diego.
In the face of hardship in battling cancer, he remained steadfast and determined in his treatment. He spent much of his free time with the people he loved, including his wife, friends, family, and children. He appreciated the simple joys of life, like eating a delicious meal by the ocean and golfing with his friends. He was a dedicated father and loved to boast about his two wonderful daughters. He loved to marvel at the wonders of nature. He liked to play golf and watch soccer. He never stopped learning and remained curious about the world. He loved to read about space and new technological advancements.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jisook Kim, and his two daughters, Minjee and Mina Park. He leaves behind his three siblings in South Korea. He has gone to join his mother and father.
He was loved, and he will be dearly remembered.
A memorial service for Yongsik will be held Thursday, March 14, from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at El Camino Memorial. Following the memorial service will be a committal service from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM.
