Zosimo Vida Mascardo

Zosimo Vida Mascardo, 87 years old, well known as Joe, was born on December 19, 1937, in Noveleta, Cavite, Philippines, and passed away on April 5, 2025, at 3:45 PM at his residence in Winchester, CA. He leaves behind his family, his wife, Elvie, and children Joey, Terry, Sally, Jun, Darius, and Justin, along with his grandchildren, Dlonra, Jan Arnold, Rosie, Felicity, Jeremiah, Jeriah, and Ameerah, and great-grandchildren, Eirah, Beliny, and Mahalia.

Zosimo was a retired Navy and Electrical Engineer. He served in the military for 20 years and worked as a civilian for an additional 25 years. Joe was fun, loving, friendly, and hardworking. He was well loved by family and friends because of his good sense of humor. He enjoyed taking care of and playing with his grandchildren. His favorite sport was golf; he loved playing and watching golf. He enjoyed listening to country music, loved his career, and enjoyed traveling all over the US. He lived his life to the fullest and was loved and cared for by his family.

His presence will be missed by all however we are looking forward to the day that we will see Zosimo (Joe) again. We commit Zosimo into the hands of the Lord.

A visitation for Zosimo will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Chapel, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:30 AM, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. A graveside service & burial with honors will occur Friday, May 2, 2025 at 1:15 PM at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, CA 92122.
