In 1953 he met Alice Magdaleno and fell head over heels. Alice had other ideas, but Ralph didn’t give up and eventually won her heart. They were married on June 8, 1957. They lived in Petaluma, CA and eventually settled in San Fernando, CA.
They had four wonderful children Delia, Ralph Jr., Robert and Barbara, twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
He worked for General Motors as an assembler and a foreman. He retired after 35 years. He was also a veteran of the Korean War, President of the Valley Latin Knights, Commissioner of San Fernando Parks and Recreation and Commander of the American Legion San Fernando Post 176.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and building model airplanes. He also enjoyed reading, watching the History Channel, Discovery Channel and Military Channel and watching the Los Angeles Dodgers. He also enjoyed going to Las Vegas and spending time with friends and his fellow American Legion members. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife Alice and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ralph was a smart, kind, loving and generous man. He always had a nickname for everyone, a smile on his face and a wink in his eye. We love him dearly, miss him terribly and cherish all the wonderful moments we have shared with him. He will always live in our hearts and memories forever.
