Chrissy Moore, née Murfin, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at the age of 63. In her final days, she was surrounded by love, with her mother, Dorothy, and her daughter, Bianca, by her side.
Born on Valentine’s Day in 1963 to Dorothy Payne and Gary Murfin of Macomb, Chrissy seemed destined from the start to embody both tenderness and a fire within her. She was the beloved granddaughter of Laverne and Eldora Murfin of Colchester, and of Mary Payne (Virgil) and Morris Fosdyck of Macomb, Illinois.
Throughout her life, Chrissy loved deeply — her former husband, John; her beautiful daughter, Bianca; and her cherished childhood monkey, Jocka. She enjoyed a bright and adventurous childhood alongside her older brother, Devin; her younger sister, Mindi; and her beloved cousins, Mike and Mark.
In her youth, Chrissy was a brilliant student and a dedicated runner, often leaving her male classmates in the dust. She was also an exquisite poet and a talented artist. Those who knew her will forever remember her striking beauty and the luminous smile that could stop you in your tracks.
Chrissy spent her entire adult life in San Francisco, where she became a true woman about town. She had a passion for socializing, fashion, and books, and remained an avid reader throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Bianca Moore of Carson City, Nevada; her former husband, John Moore of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; her sisters, Melinda Johnson (Ric) of Minden, NV, and Kylah Green of St. Louis, Missouri; her cousins, Mike and Mark Reno of Macomb, Illinois; and her grandson, Cruz Dickerson of Carson City, Nevada.
Chrissy was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, and her brother.
