I have fond memories of working with Dave at NAHB from 1980 to 1985, and as a friend for years after.  He trusted me, included me in Annual Conventions and Executive Committee meetings held around the US, and gave me the opportunity to accept an invitation from the Australian Housing Association to attend its annual meeting in Canberra.  I was fortunate to know Dave's family and sailed with him and Carol many times on "Four Buoys" in Annapolis.
