Douglas Barry O. Wyand was born in Norfolk, Virginia in 1958. He was raised and grew up in Northern California. He won many battles with CNS Lymphoma but lost his last. In 2021, he died at his residence in San Francisco with his family by his side. He was 63.
Doug and his husband, Roberto Reyes, traveled the world together to four continents. He leaves the world with devotion and love to the entire Reyes family and they in return.
Doug was a dedicated sailor and outdoorsman. He lived a life of experience and joy. He was a caring, loving, wonderful husband and uncle, a great friend and mentor. We will miss your infectious smile and your generosity towards others, his greatest trait of all.
As well as Roberto, Doug is survived by his younger siblings, Kathryn and Christopher, his sister and brother. He is preceded in death by his parents, David Wyand and Virginia Orynski.
If there’s one good thing with regard to Doug’s passing, is that, he will never have to look for a parking spot in San Francisco.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.sanfranciscocolumbarium.com for the Wyand family.
