Dubravko Krajisnik

May 26, 1956July 21, 2020

Dubravko “Duda” Krajisnik, a loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle, and friend to all whose lives he touched, passed away in San Francisco, CA on Tuesday, July 21st, 2020 following a difficult but valiant battle with prostate cancer. Duda was born in Banja Luka, Bosnia on May 26th, 1956. After surviving the war that broke up his native country, he found a new home in San Francisco in 1995. Duda was a well-respected and much loved stock manager for Salvatore Ferragamo, where he worked for 20 years, and continued to work even after his cancer diagnosis. Duda will be remembered most for his uplifting and fun-loving nature, and a character which words fall short to describe. Duda radiated a passion for life that was palpable to all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He took every opportunity to celebrate – whether it was summers with family in Lake Tahoe, New Year’s Eve parties, or evenings at home with friends, old and new.

Duda leaves behind his wife Aida, his brother Mirsad, his father Kjazim, his nieces and nephew, whom he loved as his own and countless others who will forever cherish their memories with him. A celebration of life will be held on August 1st, 2020 at the San Francisco Columbarium for close family and friends.

Duda is a great loss to his friends, our community and especially his lovely wife Aida, and his family.
I had a pleasure of knowing him, meeting him as a child in Banjaluka, then had a pleasure to know him throughout life in Rijeka, Croatia and finally SF, USA.
Being very close to Aida sisters family I’ve lived and captured great memories of Duda, through them and my parents.

He was, by far, a shining star in dark place, a sun around gloomy clouds, his sense of life was great, huge, fully of happiness, smiles and positivity.

I will always remember him as a happy husband, amazing uncle, great brother and wonderful child to his family.

There are no words to express the sadness , sorrow and disbelief of him being gone, but I promise his smile and greatness will always be part of me.

Rest In Peace Duda!! You were truly loved and will forever be missed.

A friend like Duda can never be replaced, but will always be remembered. Thank you Duda, for bringing out the best in us, and touching our family in ways that only a true friend, and loving family member could. We will always cherish what you have given us. We appreciate your friendship more than these simple words can express. It has been said that “a true friend sticks by you like family…” You truly lived up to this Duda; may you rest in peace friend.
