Ms. Elaine Capilos

March 4, 1922December 27, 2019

Friday, December 27th 2019 our sweet “Auntie” Elaine Capilos, 97 years young, passed away peacefully at home, in her native San Francisco. She leaves this earth to join her husband of 63 years, Agamemnon “Bill” Capilos and son Peter, to whom she has missed dearly. Elaine was a devoted and supportive wife and mother. She is survived by her brother, Paul (Beverley) Domeniconi and vast numbers of nieces, nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by sisters, Thelma and Evelyn as well as brothers, Renaldo and Walter. Special thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Asunion, Jeanette and Claudia who put their heart and soul into keeping her warm, safe and, comfortable through the last several years.

Elaine loved life and cherished time with all her family, friends and neighbors, eating, sharing stories, solving crossword puzzles, playing poker (watch out for her) and spa treatments with her niece Blanche. Auntie Elaine will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Interment at S.F. Columbarium with a celebration of life to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if donations are made to the UCSF Center for Geriatric Medicine.

Elaine, my mother’s kid sister, love to go for a ride with the top down, slowly out of the driveway then up Ulloa Street so she could wave to the neighbors... then up with the top... don’t mess up my hair...
Elaine was the “Bell of the Ball” and loved to go to dinner at the Basque Cultural center with our gang... at least two or three birthdays a year...
I know she is with her sisters, her son and husband now...in peace but not resting...
❤️🙏💪🏼 you will be with forever. Love

When I think of Aunt Elaine I will always smile. She was an elegant thoughtful woman who shared a respect for the beautiful things in life and never took for granted the people in her life. She was friendly and made everyone in her path feel good❤️
