He died peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2015 with his family by his side.
Frank was the owner of the Modern Meat Market on Union Street for 30 years. He developed many lasting friendships with his customers.
He was a U.S. Army combat medic in the South Pacific in World War II, and was the proud recipient of the bronze star.
He was married to the love of his life Alice for 68 years who preceded his death 5 years ago. They enjoyed golf trips to Hawaii, socializing with friends and visiting family and holiday family dinners.
He loved to visit and spend time with his friends at the Pacific Rod and Gun Club, the Pacific Club and the American Legion. He was also a member of the Olympic Club, "his second home" as he called it for 40 years and was the oldest golfing member who achieved two holes-in-one and other awards. He loved his friends who shared the "round table" with him for numerous lunches, and the staff who was so kind to him. A kind and gentle, caring person, Frank was classy, sharp-witted and told many jokes and stories.
He is survived by his three nieces, Arlene Andreacchi, Sandy Debrichy who he called "his everything" and Norene DeLuca and his many great-nieces and nephews along with his cousins, the Lenci and Calegari families.
He will be greatly missed by many who knew and loved him.
