Age 88, passed away peacefully on Aug. 29, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Fong C. Chan, caring mother to Beverly (Rod Lue) and Eileen (Gary Ow), and loving grandmother to Daniel, Natalie (Lue) and Kayla, Gregory and Kevin (Ow).
Friends and family are invited to the Wake Service, Thursday, Sept. 7, 7:00 PM and Funeral Service, Friday, Sept. 8, 1:00 PM both at Buddha’s Universal Church, 720 Washington St., SF. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Colma.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Ding Sum Inc or your favorite charity.
As one of Gloria’s favorite charities, Ding Sum Inc provides financial support to SF Friends Who Care (sffriendswhocare.org). It also supports regular monthly talks on stress at 28 centers throughout San Francisco, serving over 900 seniors monthly (123dingsum.org). Gloria personally benefitted from the presentations while participating in the programs at the Jackie Chan Senior Center.
