Guido A. Alasia (Col. Retired)

Guido passed away at his home on November 8, 2012 surrounded by his devoted family. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 yrs., Mary, his daughter Lynn Pfeifer (Fred) his grandchildren Lisa Alvarez (Fidel), Michele Pfeifer and Robert Alasia (Bradlee) ;great-grandchildren Olivia Francis, Samantha and Giovanna Alvarez, Kylee and Dylan Alasia. He was predeceased by his son Robert and grandson John; also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Guido was retired District Manager of the US Post Office, Past President of the SFIAC, member of the Madonna della Guardia, Holy Name Society, American Legion and many other organizations.

The family would especially like to thank Ben Sokini (Magee) who gave him loving care and Sutter VNA Hospice.

Guido will always be remembered for his warmth, generosity and always being the epitome of a gentleman.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Rosary and Funeral Mass Wednesday, November 14, at 10:45 am at SS Peter & Paul Church, 666 Filbert St., San Francisco. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Salesian Boys & Girls Club or Sutter Care at Home, 1625 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA 94109.
