Henry W. Tom, 91, of San Francisco passed away peacefully Thursday, January 2, surrounded by his family. Mr. Tom was born in Oakland and attended a number of schools in San Francisco. He served in the US Air Force during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was a self-employed general contractor for more than 50 years. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling and lunches with the Wednesday Lunch Group. He is survived by his son William (Emma) and grandchildren Lisa, Mitchell and Jenny Claire. Memorial Mass will be held at Old St. Mary's Cathedral, 660 California Street at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 18.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations may be made in his memory to St. Mary's School & Chinese Catholic Center, 848 Kearny Street, San Francisco, CA, 94108, or a charity of your choice.
