John was a great influence in our lives. He was an honorable, giving, loving friend. He was a good listener to his many friends who held him in high esteem. John was like a big brother to many of us. John introduced me to my husband of 32 years now. He said "you should marry him, he's a good Italian boy from North Beach" And he was right! We love and miss you John and we know God Blesses you, we are blessed to have known you.

To Madelyn, Father Jerry and Paul,  Although I had only met John on three different occasions, I have heard such wonderful things about him throughout the years.  I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you and certaintly with your dear brother.  With Love, Tina Canepa

We miss you John.  You and your family accepted me and teated me as one of the family.  We will always remember the time spent with you, the laughs, adventures and joy we shared.

John was and always will be my best friend.  His family treated me like family with love and  understanding.  I will miss John a lot and never forget what a true friend he was and always will be.

My dearest John, I will miss you so much. You have been a great friend to me for many many years. You were there for the passing of my mom and have always been so supportive through so many facets of life. I can't believe I just saw you the Friday before you passed but I am grateful I did get to see you one last time and give you a hug and a kiss goodbye. I will always love you as my dear friend.

John was not only our favorite bartender in San Francisco, but became a true friend. His smile and kind words welcomed us every time we visited. Truly a pleasure and privilege to call him our friend. We shared stories, family happenings and life in general. Not often in life does a casual acquaintance make such a wonderful impression. We will miss him! John and I attended kindergarten at St. Brigid school on Broadway and Van Ness in S.F. We also attended Galileo together. We have been friends for 65 years. We had a lot of laughs and a lot of fun in school. We still remained close friends after school and through our lives. John was a great guy and fun to be around. I will never forget him. He will surely be missed.

I went to school with John during our freshman year.  Our paths would cross sporadically over the years and I always enjoyed his company. I was just thinking aobut him last month and wondered where he was now living.  I am very sorry to hear of his death and express my condolences to his family and friends.  He was a good guy and will be missed.

My best firend, my confident.  You and your family accepted me and made me feel part of a great family.  I miss you but will always have the great memories of our time shared on earth.
