Ed and I send our condolences to your entire family.  Josie, you were like a second Mom to me -- always there with a smile and sense of humor.  I treasured the many afternoons and evenings I spent with you as a teenager with Nonna Teresa, Jeanne, and Ray.  We would sit around the kitchen table discussing nothing in particular over coffee.  Your love and support carried on in my adult life as well.  Josie, you were greatly loved and will be greatly missed.  I thank God you are no longer in pain. God rest your soul.  Love and prayers to the entire Vecchiola family.

I remember Josephine as a good person -- very kind and gracious and loving. That is the way she will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Josie will always have a special place in my heart. 20 years ago The Vecchiola family welcomed me with open arms and became the wonderful Italian family I never had. I have spent many happy hours sitting in her kitchen talking about life and benefitting from  her humor and wisdom. AND learning a few recipes which have become family favorites. I love you Josie and I miss you terribly!

I have so many wonderful memories of Josie over the years, her deep & abiding faith, her zest for life & most of all, her great love for & pride in her family. She will be missed so very much by all of us who knew her.
