I was a coworker of Ken from January 1975 to October 1991.  We worked in the Electrical Engineering Branch (Code 404) of the U. S. Navy, Western Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command in San Bruno, across the Sneath Lane from the Golden Gate National Cemetery.  In the height of the Cold War, this command employed over 1,000 architects and engineers and supporting professionals, constructing, and repairing the shore facilities for the U. S. Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force bases in California, Arizona, Washington, Alaska, Arizona, Nevada and Utah.  Ken told me about his U. S, Army service in West Germany during the time that the Soviet Union built the Berlin Wall.  Ken also had fond memories of his adolescent days in the 1950s, hanging around in the streets of Chinatown with Bruce Lee, before Bruce Lee starred in the ABC TV series “Green Hornet” as  Kato in the mid 1960s and later a Hollywood blockbuster movie, “Enter the Dragon,” in 1973 which ignited the Kung Fu fever worldwide.  My memories of Ken Lee will be with me until I join him in the next world.
