Leonard Gene Anderson passed away on March 21, 2018 after a long illness. He was born on July 15, 1943 in Burlingame, California. Leonard graduated from San Francisco State University and held many newspaper jobs. He worked at the Mill Valley Record, San Francisco Chronicle, The Wall Street Journal, A.P. Dow Jones and Reuters. Most recently he was a writer and editor with PG&E.
Len met and married Lucy Stofle in Mill Valley in 1970 after which they took off for New York City. They had two children, Maxwell born in Montreal in 1980 and Addison in San Francisco in 1985. He is also survived by his sister Robin Essner of Placerville, California, his brother Phil Anderson of Burlingame, California and nieces & nephews.
Leonard loved camping with his wife and sons. He was a dedicated "bar-b-quer". He also really enjoyed cooking for family & friends over the holidays.
