After Marian received her AA degree in Business from City College of San Francisco in 1951, she was always actively involved in the raising and educating of children, whether it was staying home to raise & care for her own children, caring for neighborhood children after school, being a doting grandmother to her grandchildren, or teaching children in the San Francisco Unified School District for over 40 years, including volunteer work after her retirement at multiple school sites within San Francisco. Most recently, Marian was actively involved in her local Sunset district AARP group, overseeing the active members as the membership chairman and also providing the group with their monthly news letter as their newsletter editor. She was a very important part in keeping everyone together and informed. Similarly with her family members and old school friends, she was an integral part of keeping in contact with them and keeping communications going so that everyone was closer to one another, more so than they would have been without her efforts. She will always be remembered by all whose lives she had touched, and she'll be deeply missed by all her family members and friends. Marian is interred at the San Francisco Columbarium, 1 Loraine Court. Our family niche is in the Garden Court beside the water fountain.
