Marjorie Irene Erickson passed away on May 1, 2025 at the age of 100 years old. Marjorie was born and raised and lived her whole life in her beloved city of San Francisco. She graduated from Lowell High School and continued her education and graduated from San Francisco State College. She was an educator at Jefferson Union High School in Daly City for 40 years. Marjorie was a Physical Education teacher then moved into the classroom and taught United States History and retired as a High School Counselor. She was very popular with many of her students and was always proud to help them with their future plans.
Marjorie also loved traveling with her sister Juanita and other friends. They actually traveled to every continent except Antarctica. She loved the outdoors and hiked the Pacific Trail and enjoyed visiting Yosemite every summer.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Irene Erickson and her sisters Marion Wiegner and Juanita Erickson. She is survived by her niece Linda Harkins and great-niece Lisa Ayers of Lodi, CA and great-nephew Dennis Baum of Wilmington, NC. She enjoyed sharing her love of San Francisco with her family and she will be greatly missed. There are many memories of visiting the Zoo, walking across the Golden Gate Bridge, trips to Angel Island. She could name the streets in San Francisco alphabetically.
We would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Sequoia's for the care and compassion they showed our beloved Marjorie.
