Nancy loved many things, but two of her favorite were helping other people and rooting for the Giants and 49ers with her friends.
After college, Nancy spent the rest of her career doing social work in the central valley and then helping women at Stepping Stone, a recovery home for women in San Francisco. She did this for over 25 years.
When she retired, she was lucky enough to get into the Martin Luther Towers. At the Towers she kept some old friends and made new ones. She continued volunteer work around the Towers and gathered in the TV room to root the Giants to 3 World Championships and the 49ers to the Super Bowl.
She loved the Towers and the people who lived there.
It was here that Nancy died peacefully on March 25 surrounded by family and friends.
All are invited to attend the funeral service 10AM, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at HALSTED N. GRAY _ CAREW & ENGLISH, 1123 Sutter Street, SF. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stepping Stone, www.the-stepping-stone.org
