Nelson Ngo passed away peacefully at 71-years-old on Friday, June 21, 2013. Nelson was born and raised in Vietnam, where he also met his wife. Nelson brought his family to San Francisco with little possessions 30+ years ago. With the help of close aunts and uncles, Nelson and his wife opened up a Chinese herbal business called Hop Hing. They stood by their mom-and-pop shop for 28-odd years and raised four daughters. Nelson retired with his wife in 2008.
Post-retirement, Nelson traveled around the world with his wife – to Central America, Canada, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Western Europe, and many other places. He married all four of his daughters off, became a grandfather of two, and celebrated his wife's60th big birthday with her and the family. Nelson lived a fruitful and happy life, and really touched everyone with his big and giving heart.
Nelson is survived by his loving wife Evelyn of 37 years, his four daughters Marjorie, Valerie, Colleen, and Catherine, his two grandchildren Dylan and Dotsy (a golden retriever), his older sister Tracy Luong and younger sister Virginia Tang.
